Ruru (son of Cākshusha Manu)

Ruru

Ruru is named first among the sons of Cākshusha, the sixth Manu.

The sixth manvantara

In the account of the manvantaras, the Brahma Purāṇa says: “The sixth Manu is Cākshusha.” The saptarshis in his time were Bhṛgu, Nabhas, Vivasvān, Sudhāma, Viraja and Sahishṇu; the deva-gaṇas were the five called the Lekhas. Then it names the sons of Aṅgiras, Atināma and the ten Nāḍvaleyas, and says: “The sons of Cākshusha Manu are Ruru and the others.”
