Ripuñjaya

Ripuñjaya · ripum-jaya, “the conqueror of foes”

The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa names Ripuñjaya in the Ikshvāku line of the Satya Yuga. He is the son of Vikukshi and grandson of Ikshvāku. He ruled a hundred years less than his father, 35,800 years. His son was Kakutstha. Sūta tells the line to Śaunaka.
