Hemamālin the Warrior
Hemamālin was a warrior on the Pāṇḍava side in the Mahābhārata war. Aśvatthāmā killed him in the Droṇa Parva.
He is a different person from Hemamālin the yaksha (a nature spirit), who appears in the Padma Mahāpurāṇa in the account of Yoginī Ekādaśī.
His death
Hemamālin was among the Pāṇḍava warriors whom Aśvatthāmā killed in his great counter-attack after the death of Droṇācārya. His death is one of the killings in the sequence in which Aśvatthāmā caused enormous destruction among the Pāṇḍava forces.
