Devasiṃha

Devasiṃha · deva-siṃha, “the lion among devas”

Devasiṃha is the son of Bhīmasiṃha. The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa tells that the Pāṇḍavas and Kauravas were to be born in the Kali Yuga by the word of Bhagavān Śiva. Among the aṃśa births he foretold, Sahadeva would be the son of Bhīmasiṃha, named Devasiṃha.
