Arṇava

Arṇava, “the ocean”

The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa tells that Arṇava was a king of the Kuru line in the Dvāpara Yuga. Sūta names him to Śaunaka in the account of the kings. He was the son of Jayasena and the father of Ayutāyu. Mahārāja Arṇava’s rule reached the four oceans, and he ruled as long as his father.
