Anagha (son of Dharmanetra)
Anagha · an-agha, “the sinless one”
Anagha is a son of the rājarshi Dharmanetra and Upadānavī, in the line of Ṛceyu. He is the brother of Dushyanta.
The line of Ṛceyu
The Sūta tells the munis that Ṛceyu‘s son was Matināra, and Matināra’s daughter was Ilā, who, though a woman, became a brahmavādinī. She was the wife of Taṃsu, and their son was the rājarshi Dharmanetra, mighty, a brahmavādī and valiant. Dharmanetra’s wife was Upadānavī, and their four sons were Dushyanta, Sushmanta, Pravīra and Anagha.
