Agāvaha (son of Vasudeva)

Agāvaha

Agāvaha is a son of Vasudeva Ānakadundubhi, the father of Śrī Kṛshṇa, born to him by his wife Vṛkadevī. The Brahma Purāṇa names him among Vasudeva’s children.

Among the children of Vasudeva

The Sūta tells the munis that Vasudeva had fourteen wives, of whom Vṛkadevī was the twelfth. To his eldest wife were born Rāma and eight others; by Devakī, Śauri (Śrī Kṛshṇa) descended; Śāntidevā bore Bhoja and Vijaya; Sunāmā bore Vṛkadeva and Gada. To Vṛkadevī was born Agāvaha.
