Durgura · durgura

Durgura is a gandharva who attends Bhagavān Sūrya.

The Brahma Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa tells that Sūrya stays with gandharvas, apsarās, serpents and rākshasas, two months with each group in turn. In Śrāvaṇa and Bhādrapada the two gandharvas with him are Bhānu and Durgura. With them in those months are the Ādityas Indra and Vivasvān, the ṛshis Aṅgiras and Bhṛgu, the serpents Elāparṇa and Śaṅkhapāla, the apsarās Prahlicā and Dundukā, and the rākshasas Sarpa and Brahma.
