Vimalā (śakti of Vishṇu)

Vimalā, “the pure one”

Vimalā is the first of the śaktis honoured with Bhagavān Vishṇu. In the rite of consecrating a garden, Sūta tells the brāhmaṇas to do pūjā of Bhagavān Vishṇu and, together with him, to offer arcanā with dhūpa, dīpa and other upacāras to the vyūhas beginning with Saṅkarshaṇa and the śaktis beginning with Vimalā, and to pray.
