Vasu (Viśvedeva)
Vasu, “the excellent one”
Vasu is one of the ten Viśvedevas who exist now. Sumantu Muni names them to King Śatānīka in the Brahma Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa: Kratu, Daksha, Vasu, Satya, Kāla, Kāma, Dhṛti, Kuru, Śaṅkumātra and Vāmana. Vasu is the third. The Viśvedevas are the sons of Dharma, and Dharma is the son of Brahmā.
