Vañjulī
Vañjulī
Vañjulī is the sixth of the eight śaktis (powers) of Bhagavān Satyeśa. The Uttara Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa names her in the Aparādhaśataśamana Vrata, the vrata that stills a hundred offences, which Maharshi Vasishṭha teaches King Ikshvāku.
The eight śaktis are Jayā, Vijayā, Jayantī, Pāpanāśinī, Unmīlanī, Vañjulī, Trispṛśā and Vivardhanā. In the vrata one has an image of Bhagavān Satyeśa with Lakshmī made, of one pala of gold, seated on a padmāsana with the eight śaktis, and their pūjā is done on the pericarp of the lotus.
