Vairāja (Attendant of Sūrya)

Vairāja

Vairāja is an attendant of the ratha of Bhagavān Sūrya. Brahmā tells Rudra who was appointed to the ratha and by whom: the Viśvedevas gave the guarding of the directions and the intermediate directions to Vairāja, Śaṅkhapāla, Parjanya and Rajas.
