Upakāla · upa-kāla
Upakāla is an attendant of the ratha of Bhagavān Sūrya. Brahmā tells Rudra who was appointed to the ratha and by whom: the Aśvinī Kumāras appointed Kāla and Upakāla, who are foremost in śakti (power).
