Prabhāsa (Vasu)

Prabhāsa

Prabhāsa is the eighth of the Vasus. His wife is the renowned Brahmavādinī, the sister of Bṛhaspati. Their child is Viśvakarman, skilled in śilpa-vidyā, also named Tvashṭṛ, who became the śilpin and the ācārya of the devas.

In the list of the eight Vasus that Sumantu Muni gives King Śatānīka, the eighth is named Prabhāta, after Pratyūsha.
