Aṃśu (Āditya)
Aṃśu · aṃśu, “the ray”
Aṃśu is an Āditya who attends Bhagavān Sūrya. In the Brahma Parva’s list of those who attend Bhagavān Sūrya through the year, the Ādityas of Mārgaśīrsha and Pushya are Aṃśu and Bhaga, and the ṛshis of those months are Kaśyapa and Kratu.
The word aṃśu is also one of the twenty words for the rays of Bhagavān Sūrya that Nārada names.
