Citraketu of Pāñcāla

Citraketu was a prince of the Pāñcāla kingdom. He fought in the Mahābhārata war at Kurukshetra on the side of the Pāṇḍavas. Droṇācārya killed him in the Droṇa Parva.

In the war

Citraketu fought in the Pāñcāla forces under the command of Dhṛshṭadyumna. Droṇācārya attacked the Pāñcāla contingent again and again in the Droṇa Parva, and Citraketu was killed by him.

Others of the same name

This Citraketu is a different person from the other figures named Citraketu in the Purāṇas. One of them is the king Citraketu who received a teaching from Nārada in the Bhāgavata Purāṇa.
