Sāvitra Vyākaraṇa

Sāvitra Vyākaraṇa, “the grammar of Savitṛ”

The Sāvitra Vyākaraṇa, the grammar of Savitṛ, is the seventh of the eight vyākaraṇas (systems of grammar) named in the Bhavishya Purāṇa.

In the opening chapter of the Brahma Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa, Sumantu tells King Śatānīka that for the good of the four varṇas the eighteen Purāṇas, the Rāmāyaṇa and the Mahābhārata were told, and that Vyāsa Maharshi, having known the eighteen Purāṇas and the eight vyākaraṇas, composed the Bhārata Saṃhitā, which removes brahmahatyā. The eight vyākaraṇas, in order, are: Brāhma, Aindra, Yāmya, Raudra, Vāyavya, Vāruṇa, Sāvitra and Vaishṇava.
