Martyaloka · martya-loka, “the world of mortals”

Grammar: masculine noun; martya (mortal) and loka (world).

Meaning: the world of mortals.

In the scriptures: the Uttara Parva says that in Martyaloka too the saubhāgya-giving dūrvā was worshipped by Vedavatī, Sītā, Damayantī and other women, and all gained what each desired (Bhavishya Purāṇa, Uttara Parva, Chapter 56).
