Harikhaṇḍa
Harikhaṇḍa · hari-khaṇḍa
Harikhaṇḍa is a land named in the Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa. The Pratisarga Parva tells that when the mlecchas were victorious and Kali honoured them, all the daityas built many ships and came to Harikhaṇḍa. The people of Harikhaṇḍa were very strong, like the devas, and they fought the daityas with terrible astras and śastras. After ten years they were all defeated by the māyā-yuddha (battle of illusion) of the daityas, and the dwellers of Harikhaṇḍa took refuge in Mahendra.
