Rājaputrapura
Rājaputrapura · rāja-putra-pura, “the city of the rājaputras”
Rājaputrapura is the city that Kaṇva Maharshi gave to Pṛthu. The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa tells that Ācārya Pṛthu pleased Kaṇva Maharshi by twelve years of tapas (austerity). Kaṇva Maharshi, pleased, made him a kshatriya king by the vara (blessing) of the devas and gave him Rājaputrapura.
