Gujarāta

Gujarāta · gujarāta

Gujarāta is a region. The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa tells that Dhruva, the fifth Vasu, who was born from the womb of Sunīti and ruled for thirty-six years before taking his place in the sky, was born again by his aṃśa in the Gujarāta region as the bhakta Nāthī. Sūta tells this to the muni after the words of Bṛhaspati.
