Sikandara
Sikandara
The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa tells that Sikandara, the Mlecchapati, ruled in Dehalī at the time when Nāmadeva, a śishya of Rāmānanda, lived at Kāśī. Sikandara called Nāmadeva, tested him well and, pleased, gave him fifty lakh mudrās. With that money Nāmadeva had an excellent white stone ghāṭa built at Kāśī.
