Sāmaladeva

Sāmaladeva

The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa tells that Tomara‘s younger son was Cayahāni, glossed in brackets Cauhāna, who became famous on earth as Sāmaladeva. Tomara had received the city of Indraprastha from Bhagavān Śiva as the fruit of his pārthiva-pūjana. Sāmaladeva ruled seven years. His son was Mahādeva, who ruled as his father did.
