Prataṃsa

Prataṃsa · pra-taṃsa

Prataṃsa is a king of the Candra line in the Dvāpara Yuga. The Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa, where Sūta answers Śaunaka, gives him in the line of Saṃvaraṇa‘s descendants. He is the son of Avataṃsa and the father of Parātaṃsa.
