Kāmasena
Kāmasena · kāma-sena
Kāmasena is a southern king, the father of Citriṇī. Bṛhaspati‘s account in the Pratisarga Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa, told by Sūta, says that Citriṇī, twelve years old, came to the great festival at Haridvāra and saw the brāhmaṇa Mitraśarman. Each kept worship of Bhagavān Sūrya, and Bhagavān Sūrya said to King Kāmasena in a dream: “Give your daughter in marriage to Mitraśarman.” The king did so.
