Mṛgarāja (Vāstu Devatā)

Mṛgarāja · mṛga-rāja, “king of the animals”

Mṛgarāja is the fifteenth of the forty-five devatās of the Vāstu-maṇḍala. Sūta tells the brāhmaṇas their names in the Madhyama Parva of the Bhavishya Purāṇa, in numbered order: Mṛgarāja stands fifteenth, after Gandharva. Mṛga comes next.
