Ahirbudhnya
Ahirbudhnya · ahir-budhnya, “the serpent of the deep”
Ahirbudhnya is the devatā of the nakshatra Uttara Bhādrā. In the Brahma Parva’s list of nakshatra devatās, the one who worships Ahirbudhnya on Uttara Bhādrā gains supreme peace, paramaśānti. Aja comes before him, for Pūrva Bhādrā, and Pūshan after him, for Revatī.
