About Védic People
Védic People is a non-profit initiative dedicated to rediscovering, researching, and reviving the timeless wisdom of Bhārata Khaṇḍa (the Indian Subcontinent). Our mission is to bring to light both the celebrated and lesser-known sacred knowledge preserved in the Vedas, Upaniṣads, Purāṇas, Itihāsas, Āgamas, Smṛtis, and allied scriptures. Through this, we strive to safeguard and share the Dharma, Bhakti, Jñāna, traditions, rituals, and codes of conduct that form the eternal foundation of Sanātana Dharma.
What is Védic People
Védic People is an encyclopedia of Hindu sacred knowledge, designed as a comprehensive reference resource for scriptures, sages, temples, rituals, and spiritual concepts. Each page is created with devotion, reverence, and scholarly care, with the vision of making the treasures of Hindu spirituality accessible to all seekers — whether students, scholars, or devotees.
Védic People is not a platform for opinions, modern reinterpretations, or sectarian debates. Our content is rooted in śāstric authority and ācārya-vākyas (teachings of revered teachers). It is not intended as a substitute for the guidance of a Guru, nor as a space for unverified or speculative interpretations.
Our Approach
- Scriptural Foundation: Every page is guided by scriptural references from authentic sources, with ślokas presented in original script, transliteration, and meaning.
- Accessibility: We aim to make sacred narratives understandable for today’s generation without diminishing their sanctity.
- Preservation: Ancient wisdom is presented with the care of an archivist, ensuring that the living traditions of temples, rituals, and practices are documented and preserved.
- Neutrality with Devotion: Like a śāstra-grantha, we narrate without exaggeration or dilution, balancing academic rigor with devotional reverence.
Our Vision
To ensure that the spiritual, cultural, and intellectual heritage of our civilization is not only remembered but lived, studied, and cherished by future generations across the world.
How You Can Use Vedic People
Védic People is a free and open resource for everyone. You may:
- Read and Study: Learn about scriptures, rituals, and spiritual concepts at your own pace.
- Share and Teach: Use the content to inspire discussions in families, temples, and educational settings, always with attribution.
- Research and Explore: Scholars and seekers may reference our work to deepen their studies, tracing citations back to original texts.
- Preserve and Practice: Above all, we hope our content inspires you to not only understand but also live by the eternal values of Dharma.
Védic People exists as a service to Sanātana Dharma. It is our humble prayer that this effort becomes a light of knowledge, devotion, and guidance for seekers across the world.
