Vyāghradatta and Candrasena
Vyāghradatta and Candrasena were warriors who joined the Pāṇḍava side at Kurukshetra. The Mahābhārata names them together as rathas (chariot warriors) among the Pāṇḍava forces.
In Bhīshma’s enumeration
Bhīshma lists the warriors of both armies in the Rathātiratha-Saṃkhyāna, the count of rathas and atirathas. Vyāghradatta and Candrasena are listed together among the Pāṇḍava rathas. Both were allied warriors who joined the Pāṇḍava cause.
Their names carry a meaning. Vyāghradatta means “tiger-given”. Candrasena means “army of the moon”.
