Summary of chapter 148 of the Agni Purāṇa is as follows:
Further pūjā sequences specifically aimed at achieving victory in conflict are described, complementing the earlier chapter on saṅgrāma-vijaya. Agni prescribes detailed abhicāra-pūjā forms for Bhadrakālī and Durgā in their battle-form (yuddha-cāmuṇḍā), with tarpana of blood-mixed water and homa in a triangular kuṇḍa. The installation of a yantra at the battle-front and the binding of a rakṣā-kavaca on the king's left arm with Nārasiṃha-mantra are described. Astrological timing based on Viśākha nakṣatra and Maṅgala-vāra is given as optimal for such rites.
