Summary of chapter 66 of the Agni Purāṇa is as follows:
The sixty-sixth chapter provides a comprehensive group-installation procedure for all deities simultaneously — the twelve Ādityas, eight Vasus, eleven Rudras, Sādhyas, and Viśvadevas, along with the seven primordial Ṛṣi-s. The mantra construction principle — forming the specific mantra for each deity by taking the first syllable of the deity's name and embedding it in a fixed mantra template — is explained, allowing even a single ācārya to consecrate all deities. The monthly fire ritual (māsika homa) to Viṣṇu for the continuous maintenance of the consecrated image is prescribed. The chapter concludes with a celebration of the merit of donating gardens (ārāma), monasteries (maṭha), bridges (setu), and residences (gṛha) to the community — each category of gift carries specific rewards in this world and the next, from abundance to liberation.
