Terms of use

Our Vision

Imagine a world where Sanātana Dharma is truly understood and lived, where every being, human and otherwise, moves in harmony, peace, and awakened consciousness. Guided by the Bhagavad Gītā’s call to samatva, loka-saṅgraha, and sarva-bhūta-hita, Vedic People exists to preserve and share Dharma, Vidya, Jñāna freely, faithfully, and without prejudice, so seekers everywhere can learn, reflect, and live with clarity and compassion.

Welcome to Vedic People. Vedic People (“we,” “us,”, “Védic People,” or “Vedic People”) is a non-profit charitable organization based in the United States. Our mission is to empower and engage people around the world to collect, preserve, and develop educational and informational content related to Hindu sacred texts, traditions, and culture, under free licenses or in the public domain, and to disseminate it effectively and globally, free of charge.

To support a vibrant community, we provide the essential infrastructure and organizational framework for developing Vedic People websites, knowledge pages, libraries, and related initiatives. By accessing or using these and any related services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”).

Overview

These Terms describe the Services we provide, our relationship to you as a user, and the rights and responsibilities that guide both of us.

The Services host a large quantity of content that is compiled, translated, summarized, or otherwise presented for educational purposes. Unlike fully open, community-edited platforms, Vedic People’s content is editorially curated by administrators appointed by Vedic People (“Administrators”). Administrators may create, edit, approve, curate, and remove content based on their understanding of Dharma and their editorial judgment.

Administrators apply their understanding of Dharma as an editorial standard for suitability and presentation, but such judgments remain personal editorial opinions and not binding religious rulings, professional advice, or institutional positions of Vedic People.

Editorial curation is not legal advice, religious instruction, or an official position. Administrator decisions reflect individual editorial judgment and may reflect an individual Administrator’s understanding and interpretation. Such curation should not be treated as Vedic People’s legal opinion, professional advice, or an endorsement that any content is universally authoritative, complete, or applicable to every person.
